There are fourteen dog appliqué patterns which you can make into a crib, nap, or twin-sized quilt. You can also use the appliqué patterns on their own to embellish T-shirts, make tote bags, pillows and more. You can even shrink them down to use as embroidery patterns. :-)

The Playful Puppies and More Playful Puppies patterns are both designed to make specific dog breeds. Together, they have all the instructions and pieces you need to make any of the 50 most popular dog breeds in America - and you can mix and match the templates to make even more. They're both more advanced patterns.
The Lovable Mutts pattern - what you're looking at here - is a super easy pattern, perfect for beginners. The dogs aren't supposed to represent specific breeds - they're just cute and fun. :-)
All three patterns have blocks that finish at 10 inches square - so you can mix and match blocks between them.

* assorted prints in dog colors (get at least 6 fat quarters, but you’ll probably want more for variety)
* 2 1/2 yards fabric for the quilt back (or 1 1/2 yards Cuddle Fleece)
* 1/2 yard binding fabric
Napping Size (50" x 60")
* 3 1/3 yards of a variety of background fabrics
* assorted prints in dog colors (get at least 8 fat quarters, but you’ll probably want more for variety)
* 4 yards fabric for the quilt back (or 2 yards Cuddle Fleece)
* 1/2 yard binding fabric
Twin Size (70" x 90")
* 7 yards of a variety of background fabrics
* assorted prints in dog colors (get at least 16 fat quarters, but you’ll probably want more for variety)
* 5 yards fabric for the quilt back (or 4 yards Cuddle Fleece)
* 5/8 yard binding fabric
Other Materials
* batting (I love Warm & Natural 100% cotton batting)
* fusible adhesive (if using my favorite appliqué with fusible adhesive technique) - I recommend Heat & Bond Lite

This pattern is adorable, but I think some of the applique pieces could have been a bit larger for easier handling. Still, the final product turned out great and my dog loves it too!
