Patchwork Playground was first written as a baby quilt for one of my girlfriends! It was designed to be a quick, easy place to start for beginners, including a step-by-step video tutorial! Maybe you want to try quilting for the first time, or you’ve been quilting for years and just need a quick project. This is the perfect quilt to bring on big adventures, picnics at the park, or to welcome a sweet new baby into the world.

This quilt comes in 3 standard sizes: Mini (20” x 20”), Baby (36” x 36”), and Throw (66” x 66”). This pattern is written with one colorway option in order to keep thing as simple as possible for beginners! However, as you can see in some of the example photos, the pattern allows for lots of variation in color!

This pattern is rated as Beginner Difficulty. Construction of the quilt consists of traditional piecing techniques including Strip Piecing and nine patches. Also included is a video tutorial for beginners to reference all along the way!

The Patchwork Playground Quilt came out beautifully, but I wish the pattern had more visual guides. A quick guide at the end for layout tips would be a nice addition. Regardless, I enjoyed making it.
